Johns Hopkins University is known for its medical school and one could not argue with that. As well, the Peabody School of Music, which is part of JHU, is one of the best music schools on the continent. However, for students who are not interested in music or medicine, but who do want a superb liberal arts education on a wonderful, vibrant, welcoming campus, Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, is an excellent choice.
As with other top universities in the USA, a student can increase his/her chance of admission at JHU by presenting a very strong high school transcript, strong SAT scores, excellent essays and teacher/counsellor letters, evidence of volunteer/community service, excellence in athletics, and/or arts, and/or student government……..and……..by making contact with the university, making a visit (very important) and by submitting SAT and AP scores EARLY (e.g. submit them as soon as you have them). Demonstrated Interest is very important at JHU.
