Rochester, New York, is easy to reach from Toronto and from many airports in the USA. Tucked into a bend in the Genesee River, the University of Rochester serves 11,000 students, 6,000 of them full-time undergraduates. Students come from all 50 states and 40+ countries around the world. In addition to a full slate of undergraduate programs, the university has a direct affiliation with the Eastman School of Music in downtown Rochester. Rochester employs a ‘test-flexible’ admissions policy, meaning that a wide variety of test results can be used to satisfy admission requirements. The university is sited on a bright and attractive campus, featuring beautiful buildings and substantial green space. The small student body allows excellent and attentive student services. Dual degree programs are available in Music and Nursing. The university is well-recognized for its Biomedical Engineering and Optics programs. An Entrepreneurship Year, Study Abroad programs, and a “Take Five” program (an extra year of study, tuition free) are some additional special offerings at the University of Rochester. All undergraduate students here will have the opportunity to do research projects.
