The University of Stirling stands at the entrance to the Scottish Highlands, just north and east of Glasgow; north and west of Edinburgh. Surrounded by hills, the Wallace monument, and Stirling Castle, the physical surroundings and the campus itself are stunningly beautiful and steeped in history. The university offers primarily undergraduate programmes across several schools or disciplines including arts, sciences, and social sciences areas as well as Management, Law, Education, Nursing, Film, Media, Journalism, and Sports Studies. Athletes will find that Stirling welcomes their interest as the university is the Scottish National Training Centre for swimming and tennis among other sports. Students can take a 40-minute train ride to either Glasgow or Edinburgh.
